Nature of Business:

The saplings are secured to and irrigated by the catenary wire The avenues are up to 80 metres long and 3 metresapart

One of the UK's largest suppliers of trees establises a 9 acre network to support new saplings as they grow

The solution to this problem was a system of irrigated frames with vertical posts supporting steel catenany cables. The cables served a dual purpose. They provided support for the saplings and thefor water supply to the irrigators.

The first phase involved installing 24 rows of the supporting frames, each 60 metres long.

The second phase required 82 rows each 70 metres long.

In total this represents over 7,000 metres of support fencing covering a total area of over 9 acres.
In the second phase there are 82 rows
