The capacity to train and excercise horses
in all weathers and in complete safety and security is the main feature
of this menage installed by Stockton.
The overall size of the menage is 60 metres by 20 metres. Its
development involved two principal phases. The preparation of the ground
area and the installation of the external perimeter fence.
The ground area was surfaced excavated and leveled. The ground was
levelled, and a hardcore base and drainage system installed complete
with an impermiable membrane.
The surface was finally dressed with chopped rubber. The 1.5 metre high
Post and Rail perimeter fence was also equipped with electric wire
protection.
